There seem to be many varying opinions on this subject from various ST forums. Fiesta ST Supplement guide says to use 195/45 R16 for chain clearance (TR has 2 snow tires in stock for this size), but I won't be using chains. TireRack recommends 205/45 for a 16" size (won't the speedo be off for one of those?)
Uh, here have a picture of my Les Paul that I accidentally clicked on.
^^This garage used to house a 2010 Taurus. I can actually move in there now!
Have people successfully purchased and mounted 15" steel wheels on the ST and, if so, where did you get them? I'm looking on TireRack site and they say they don't have any 15" steelies, but lots of snow tires for that size. I bumped up to 16" steelies, which they DO have, but they say they don't have any snow tires for that size. I don't know much about offsets, backspacing, bolt patterns, and TireRack won't even show me what all that information is for a 15" steel wheel since they don't have any.
I went on one of the ST forums, and some people were concerned about 15" since the brakes are bigger. Are there any negative implications for using steel wheels? I love the way the look. I'm just a confused kid today.

I run 195-55/15s on MSW alloys for my snow tires, the brake clearance is tight, but certainly adequate. The "full size" spare is also mounted on a 15" steelie, so I think you'll be good.

For the Speed check a tire size calculator. Helped me in the past http://tire-size-conversion.com/speedometer-ca…

Fiesta ST... thumbs up, thumbs down? Ever find yourself wanting more space in the back?

that one was just one I grabbed from a quick search but I have one that I preferred somewhere because it also shows a 3 dimensional model of your inputs as Well

I did back to back size test and they were pretty damn close, pushed me to grab the FiST.

My FRIENDS who sit in the rear seat sometimes find themselves wanting more space, the rear seat in the FieSTa is functional, but tall people need not apply. For carrying shit on a daily basis and even with the odd HomeDespot run It's entirely adequate; the seats do fold.

That's interesting, Ford sent me 205/45/17's when I had the ST last year during the Fiesta Movement. I never mounted them as the early season storms that I expected in Mammoth never happened so I can't tell you how they worked with chains. I can however tell you that I have brand new set of Blizzak's just sitting around and I'd be willing to ship them.

I'm at around 2200 miles now, and a massive thumbs up so far! We do not use the rear seat much (maybe about 200 of those miles) but its usually my wife back there and she says its not too bad. Its got a cutout in the roof for more head room and another one in the back of the front seats for a hair more legroom. I did fit back there (6' and 170 lbs) but that was during the test drive and the car wasn't moving.

The Blizzaks are 17"? Are they just regular snow tires? I don't want/need anything studdable and won't be using chains.

I've stopped by a dealer to check one out and thought "oh this is much bigger than it looks" but never having lived with one, I'm not sure how much I'd miss my wagon

Not the greatest picture, but it's all I have from last winter. Sparco Assetto Gara's 15x6.5 with Blizzak WS60s in 195/55R. Awesome tires.

They are just regular snowtires made from 17" rims. They're a damn good regular snow tire too, I used to put em on my Subaru's.
